The Clay Classroom with Lisa LaBarge
This is the pottery class you have always wanted to take. Classes are kept small to allow students to work on projects of their choice. Students work at their own pace on the pottery wheel or on hand building projects. Student project goals direct what skills and techniques are learned.
This is an on-going class meeting once a week (4-5 times/month) and runs year around.
New students must commit to 8 consecutive weeks to start this class and purchase clay as needed.
Bring a small notebook to keep as a clay journal and a towel for your lap... we get a little dirty here.
Tuition is due the first week of the month:
3 hr class, meeting weekly (adults) 40/wk + clay
Additional hours in the studio may be purchased for $10/hr.
Maximum of 12 pieces fired monthy
Courtesy withdrawl notice: 2 wks includes clearing shelf of all items.

Introductory Sculpting
Figurative and Fun! Explore hand building sculptures using slab, coil, and pinch pot techniques. In this class, we use paperclay to create figurative forms while incorporating meaningful imagery from our everyday lives. Inspiration might include important objects, photos, or animals.
Tuition is due the first week of the month $40.00 /wk + paper clay

Private Pottery Lessons

Schedule a private pottery lesson today!
Student(s) will make 2-3 vessels on a pottery wheel and 1 plate or tray from clay slab in 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
Pieces then dry and are bisque fired before they can be glazed.
Schedule a second visit to the studio to glaze (1 hr) your pieces.
After they are fired a second time you will be called to pick them up.
Two person limit: $260/couple
